1° Giorno
The adventure of the "Mille Miglia" tour begins at the Milan Central Station, which will be the place of arrival and meeting, and then get right to the heart of the experience, leaving for Arese, a place of great importance in the motoring world, in fact it is there that the museum dedicated to the history of the "biscione" is located, the morning will be dedicated purely to an immersion in the world of Alfa Romeo, after the visit, we will go to lunch ...
Once lunch is over, the tour continues and we will stop off at a place that marked the history of GT road cars and Formula 1 in the 1960s, but which is still making waves!
Then it's back to Milan for a tasty stop at one of the city's oldest patisseries, a place where you can enjoy sweet delights from a tradition that has been handed down since 1817. [*]
[*] Alternative: After lunch we continue in the afternoon with a visit to a Guinness World Record museum, dedicated to the development of fuel pumps, with memorabilia ranging from the late 19th to the late 20th century; exhibiting over 5000 objects.
Once back in Milan, dessert awaits us; in fact, we can enjoy traditional Milanese sweets at a pastry shop that has been active since 1817, handing down an all-Italian confectionery tradition.
Here the first day ends, but the tour continues...
2° Giorno
The second day will take us to the Veneto region. Our first stop in the Veneto is in Villafranca di Verona, where there is a private collection of numerous vintage cars and motorbikes, bicycles, small vehicles and other special items from the last century.
The collection boasts 200 vintage cars, 110 bicycles, 100 motorbikes, 500 cameras, 100 musical instruments, 100 typewriters, several aircraft; there is also a special collection of F1 single-seater steering wheels...
After this immersion in our recent past, we leave for Bassano del Grappa where we will have lunch. We will then go to another museum renowned in the automotive sector, dedicated to the restorer Luigi Bonfanti, where the most iconic cars of the last century are preserved with the aim of praising the ingenuity of the automotive pioneers...
Before heading to Verona, there is the last stop of the third day that offers an experience like no other, in fact you will be able to taste various typical Venetian liqueurs, such as grappa, but with the peculiarity of tasting it in the place where the first grappa in Italy was produced! [**]
[**] Alternative: as an alternative to the Distilleria Nardini, you can visit a company founded in 1898 and which has developed more and more over the years, where you will be able to taste its wines are produced from five vineyards located in the valleys of the Veronese area; it has the distinction of possessing three DOC wines: Soave, Valpolicella and Durello.
3° giorno
The third day will take us to Mantua, where our first stop will be at a place that is home to some of the jewels of the famous Bavarian car manufacturer BMW, in fact the Pezzo family is involved in the world of BMW. It all began with Tullo Pezzo, who at the height of the Italian economic boom set up a BMW dealership in San Giorgio Bigarello and in 2005 decided to create a beautiful collection of cars and motorbikes dedicated to the Bavarian House.
The second leg of the tour will allow us to relive the excitement of motor racing in the last century, but especially of a legendary character, in fact we will visit the Mantovano Volante museum!
The third stage will take us to the 'Temple' of Italian motor racing, a place dedicated to the historic event of the Freccia Rossa, where we will have lunch and then venture among the gran turismo cars that have made the history of this competition, periodically replaced to allow their participation in the various historic car races, including the Mille Miglia itself.
To continue the culinary adventure, we will go to a unique place in Brescia, where we will be able to taste the delights of a legend of pastry-making, the famous Iginio Massari!
Here ends the third day and we head towards the last day of our adventure...
4° Giorno
The last day will take us back to Brescia, where we will be able to attend the re-enactment of the Italian motorsport event par excellence, in which motor legends and historically interesting grand tourers have taken part; to date, both vintage and modern sports cars and grand tourers take part...
After this exciting day in the world of the Mille Miglia we return to Milan.
